Hi, my name is Tate Hansen. I live and work in Broomfield Colorado. I launched ClearNet Security in July '04 with a couple colleagues because I was interested in having more control over projects I participated on.

Ian and I are the primary contributors to this blog and we previously worked together as core members of a development team building security products around popular open-source tools. Most of our time was spent on the IDS/IPS and Vulnerability Assessment teams, though in the end we touched an end-point solution.

I've been lucky to meet lots of great people and I really enjoy working on ad-hoc teams when new projects arise.
